FIREWOOD SLIDE SHOW!

Native American Emergency Relief

Dear Friend:

I've been visiting Indian children on their reservation in Arizona. What I saw shocked me beyond belief. Many conditions are horrible--a total disgrace that these Native Americans would be trapped in such cruel misery.

Many Indian families live far below the government's “poverty level.” 4 out of 5 adults are unemployed. The lucky ones manage to live longer than 46 years, the average life expectancy. Many homes are one-room huts with no heating, plumbing or electricity. Most of the cooking is done outside--rain or shine, winter or summer. Clean water is often virtually impossible to get, without expensive hauling from distant wells.

Thousands of Indian children cry themselves to sleep at night--hungry, sick, with no sense of hope or even a chance at life. Many of these children will die needlessly. This is an American national tragedy.

Your urgent help is needed now for Indian youngsters in the harsh months ahead. Winter or summer, hunger and diseases know no holidays on too many Indian reservations.

Our NATIVE AMERICAN EMERGENCY RELIEF distributes food, medical supplies, clothes and other life-saving goods so urgently needed. Our staff has almost 30 years experience delivering love, help, and hope to the “poorest of the poor” around the world. With your help today, we can put this strength to work for our fellow Americans.

$25 will help feed a family for a month. $15 puts clothes on the back of an Indian child who has almost nothing unless someone like you helps.

We can use your gift right away to help these poor, suffering Native Americans. The good news is that we have loyal friends who will match your gift with a gift-in-kind worth TEN TIMES more.

Please pray for these Native American children we're working to help--and then make your emergency gift for them today. You'll be much appreciated.

President

PS Over 95 cents of every resource dollar we get somehow helps others. We'll send you a receipt, plus our thanks for remembering these kids others forget.
