World Emergency Relief is an interdenominational fellowship of Christians around the world, working together to help people in need. We collaborate with charities and other outreaches world-wide.

We invite all who browse our prayer list to pray for the physical, emotional, and spiritual emergencies aflicting millions of children. Robert Brown: (Friend of World Emergency Relief) Robert recently had a bad accident Doctors are amazed that his neck did not break when he fell. It was truly a miracle that God spared his life. Robert has more tests scheduled to find out how extensive the damage is to his back. (His arms and hands are numb) Please keep him and his family in your prayers as they remain optimistic throughout this whole ordeal.

Donald Hanson: (Don is on the board of directors) Don will be having bypass surgery on his leg on that day at Huntington Memorial Hospital. He’ll be hospitalized there from 4/27 through 4/29 and will then be recuperating at home for two to three weeks following surgery.

Alex and Rita Haxton: (Alex is the Director of Operations for WER-United Kingdom) Rita's father has had two strokes over the weekend and early this week. The results of the strokes have not been good. He has lost the ability to speak and is paralysed on the right side of his body. His family are with him in the hospital. Please pray with WER in his recovery and comfort during these painful times. We will also be praying for the family's strength and hardships.

Wendell Cutting: Wendell is a long-time WER volunteer team leader and member of our Council of Advisors. He has developed cancer in the liver and gall bladder. Emergency surgery is scheduled for February 17, 2004.
*Update: Surgery for Wendell did not go as smoothly as we had hoped. Please join WER staff as we pray for Wendell's recovery.
*UPDATE: Wendell is doing well. He is back in his home and recovering nicely from surgery. "Thank you very much for your loving prayers and strong faith."

Kermit Kerley: Kermit has a cancerous tumor on the right kidney. Emergency Surgery scheduled for middle of February, 2004.
*Update: Surgery scheduled for Thursday, 19 Feb; 7:30am. Please pray with us!
**Praise Report!: Miracle! Kermit's doctor has informed us that Kermit has NO other cancerous cells anywhere near the tumor site. According to the doctor, this is occurs in just one in every one-thousand patients. "The power of prayer is incredible. Thank you so very much!" Kermit's sister-in-law said in an email on Feb. 26, 2004.

Marge of Pennsylvania : Please pray for the physical health of Thomas, Gerrie and Jeanette, the spiritual growth of Ann Marie, and Marge's family members, emotional health for Sam, Bill, Ron and Bob. Please pray that all Marge's family come to know Christ as their savior. Please pray for marital healing for Bill and Lori and Shawn and Jackie, that Matt and Bill find jobs, and an end of crisis' in the world, peace in Marge's family and an end to abortion. 7-23-04

Evelyn of Pennsylvania : Please pray that Seth (Evelyn's grandson) and his mother will resolve their differences and forgive each other. They have both accepted Christ but are now reverting to their old ways. Evelyn's other grandson is currently involved in a cult. She has one other grandson that is living with a woman he is not married to, which worries Evelyn. Evelyn is suffering from a heart condition and all this stress from her family is not good for her. 7-22-04

Bill of Iowa : Bill prays that God will keep his physical strength such that he can find a good job. He also prays for his children's spiritual health and salvation for all. He prays that Mark and Staci will be granted financial relief and God will help him with his personal intentions. 7-22-04
